As the eighth permanent hire, I worked as in-house creative and brand/communications strategist at the start-up YunoJuno: a platform that connects freelancers and brands without the need for a recruiter.


For almost three years I dictated the tone of the brand; strategising and executing all B2C & B2B communications, website copy, platform copy, and below/through/above-the-line advertising creative.


I was fundamental in a six-month rebranding process; identifying and distilling a core brand offering to a widely diverse and multifaceted user base, solidifying a robust positioning and ensuring new value propositions were capable of being delivered through a unique and unassailable tone of voice that I created.


I similarly overhauled and implemented a communications strategy that saw the user-base increase five times in size on both sides of the marketplace equation, improvements in already stellar retention figures, and securement of Series A and B funding for the business.

Empowering freelancers and positioning YJ as the industry leader for businesses users were the two pillars from which every aspect of the brand radiated.

An ident for every freelance discipline, a rallying sign for those once last thought of.
